ACHIEVING BALANCE IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO EVERYONE'S LIFE REGARDLESS OF AGE, CULTURE, RELIGION, PROFESSION, EDUCATION OR SOCIAL STATUS. SAVLEEN BAJAJ SHOWS US HOW... Any discrepancy between your thoughts, feelings, intentions and actions can lead to an out-of balance feeling. To feel fulfilled with yourself, your tasks, career, relationships, hobbies, goals, purpose or projects, you need to balance each area of your life with care, love and attention. The most common areas of focus for most people are; social, family, mental, physical, financial, health, spiritual, career, education, relationships, personal development, emotional and contribution. When all your significant life areas are balanced and are in harmony, you achieve a state of harmonic balance. This balance is holistic in nature and allows you to feel whole, filled and connected to yourself, others and the Universe. It increases the interconnectedness of everything and annihilates the feelings of separateness. When balance shows up in your thought-feeling-behaviour pattern, absolutely everything works at its best. You will experience increased productivity, peace of mind, happiness, restful sleep, clear communication and personal effectiveness. When your mind, body and spirit are in balance, you can perform your daily tasks much more effectively and achieve the desired results. Imbalance originates from the mind and creates opportunities for unhappiness, dissatisfaction, indecisiveness and disharmony. Here are some steps you can take to achieve harmonic balance. 1. Measure your Balance Define the significant areas of your life. On a scale of 1-10, rate where you are now in each area of your life. Take note of the medium to lowest scores and focus on them with the intention to improve it. Divide your efforts into various areas of your life and assess what areas you need to spend more time working on. 2. Cleanse Negativity Strive to remove negative thoughts from your mind as soon as you are conscious of them. Reframe any negative thoughts, feelings, intentions and action with positive thoughts. Remove negativity from your life. Avoid people who act and speak negatively. Strive to achieve a harmonic balance in your life and outlook towards others. 3. Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle If your health fails, it can overshadow everything else that's going on in your life. Have a healthy diet and ensure that you get sufficient exercise and sleep. Spend time in nature, laugh and have fun whilst doing your daily tasks. Take time out to relax and reflect. Practice meditation, yoga, tai-chi, body balance, light ballet or any other activity that enables you to feel good. These activities have been known to promote health, vitality, chakra flow, inner balance, and rejuvenation. 4. Set Boundaries Work smarter, not longer. You need to use the time at work and home effectively and efficiently. Learn to manage your time, money, interests and relationships better to reduce anxiety, stress and worry. Distinguish and have a clear separation around the work and non-work aspects of your life. Set boundaries with yourself and others. This ensures that you create enough time for yourself and your pursuits without losing inner balance. 5. Be Clear Be clear about what you want to achieve from each area of your life. Lack of clarity breeds uncertainty and imbalance. What do you want to achieve in your relationships? What do you want to achieve in your spiritual life? What really matters most to you? Discuss your thoughts and responses with a trusted person or life coach. 6. Contribute Get involved in a cause that you believe in. This is a great way to increase meaning, fulfilment, inner peace and happiness. When you are happy and fulfilled, you feel balanced. The reward in contribution is life satisfaction and harmonic balance.
