I am worthy
I am unlovable
I am a hard worker
I am not good enough
I am incapable
I am intelligent
I am compassionate

What are your ‘I am' beliefs? How do your ‘I am' beliefs impact your reality and life experiences? Are you sabotaging your efforts to create the life you desire? In your constant search to find balance, peace and happiness, it is necessary to be at peace with who you are. Your ‘I am' beliefs are formed in your younger years when you are greatly influenced by your guardians and those around you. The life you know is the result of living and experiencing the sum total of what you have believed.

Whatever it is that you believe to be true about who you are is what will create your reality as it stands right now. For instance, if you believe that you are a bad cook then your ego self will be constantly searching to ensure that your belief remains true. It will continually search for comments about your bad cooking or play out in many unsuccessful attempts at creating an appetising meal. If by chance you did receive positive comments about something you produced your ego would dismiss it as untrue and would hold fast to your belief with thoughts that the person was only being kind and they didn't really mean it. All of this will play out because of the belief you have that you are a bad cook. If however, you believed that you were a wonderful cook, any negative comments about your creations would be met with resistance from your ego and it would go in search of ways to condemn and erase this person's opinion and to prove it to be wrong. Your ego self would seek positive comments from others or any number of reasons for why this person is wrong, which would diminish the effect of that one person's opinion and would again have you feeling validated and at peace with your cooking skills.

What you think about yourself, your life's situation or expectations will determine what will affect you and what will send your emotions on the constant roller coaster of positive to negative, negative to positive with no apparent balance between the two. Life's ups and downs will have you spiralling in and out of control and peace will elude you depending on how you choose to react to what you believe in and who you believe you are.

So how do you find the balance that is required for continual peace and happiness? The answer lies only with you and whether or not you are able and willing to relax and accept what happens to you and, around you with no major expectations about what should be, could be or will be. By this I mean that you need to have an understanding that what happens to you and around you is orchestrated by your ‘I am' beliefs. At any given moment you can choose to recreate your reality and choose acceptance so that your emotions remain balanced and you are able to take life in your stride. Reality is constantly giving you valuable feedback in the form of your mental and emotional responses and each response allows you to see whether or not you are in tune with the truth of the moment. When you give your power of self validation away to others your ego runs an even greater risk of not being fulfilled in a way that would help you to feel peaceful. If you require validation from others to feel moments of peace and happiness then you will never truly be at peace with yourself. Check in with your ‘I am' statements and ask yourself what it is you need from others that you cannot give yourself. If you are feeling low in energy, again ask yourself, what it is that is stripping you of your vitality and, what it is at that moment that you believe to be true about you.

By always being aware of your emotions and feelings you will soon begin to work out what it is that you are not accepting, what you are fighting against and what is causing you to feel in disharmony with yourself and your environment. Your ‘I am' beliefs can be changed in an instant and at any given moment you can choose to feel at peace.

I gained my inspiration for this article from a book that I have been reading by Howard Falco called ‘I AM.' If you are wanting an eye-opening and in depth look at the way your life is created in every moment and a chance of discovering who you really are then I can thoroughly recommend this publication. This book could forever change the way you live and inspire you to connect to your passion and your purpose.

I wish you every success in creating the life YOU desire.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
