... End the cycle of attracting the same ‘old' experiences into your life Have you noticed certain times in your life, when it seems like you keep having similar experiences? Although the event or people involved in the experience may be dissimilar each time, the distinct feeling of having been there and done that, is clear within your memory. You feel the uncanny similarity in the experience almost immediately, through the emotional climate manifested by the experience. You're more likely to become suddenly aware and alert, to emotionally charged experiences than neutral ones. Your thoughts, emotions, and memories are inexorably linked. Your brain chemistry links your emotions to your memories, which store your dominant thinking-feeling patterns. These dominant thoughts can be triggered by an object, event, smell, taste, sound, word, situation, movie, song, person, and etc, which have emotional significance to you personally. Perhaps you left an ‘old' relationship, job, suburb, house, or situation where you were unhappy, and you find yourself experiencing similar emotional challenges in the ‘new.' When the ‘new' begins to seem a lot like the ‘old,' and the problems that you thought you had left behind, ‘show-up' in your present life once again, is a clear indicator that something within you needs to shift. If you are in a heightened state of emotion, the current experience may feel exactly like the last one, and the one before that. The familiarity of the experience may have you questioning yourself; "Have I had this experience before?" Some scientists refer to this as déjà vu. According to French researcher, Émile Boirac (1851-1917); "The experience of déjà vu, is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness," "strangeness," "weirdness," or what Sigmund Freud calls "the uncanny." The brain has evolved a way of connecting the release of these emotional chemicals, to the memory of the event. It is stored as dominant thought-information, in the subconscious and can resurface, when you find yourself in similar emotion-evoking circumstances. The Law of Attraction states that; "You are a living magnet; you invariably attract into your life the people, ideas, and circumstances that harmonize with your dominant thoughts and feelings." Your dominant thoughts are activated by your current emotional-experience. This then creates a force-field of energy around you that attracts into your life, like iron filings to a magnet, exactly the people, circumstances, and similar experiences that are in harmony with your dominant thinking-feeling patterns. The negative dominant thoughts you hold about yourself, others, money, etc will be reflected in your personal habits, attitude, choice of words, emotional quality, self-expression, choices, and level of 'psychologicall-emotional- physical-spiritual balance.' Similarly, the negative dominant thoughts you hold about money, love, success, or anything else will be reflected in the way ‘lack' continuously shows up in various ways in your material life. Your external world reflects back to you, like a mirror image, exactly what you are holding, in the deepest recesses of your mind. Symbolically, an experience that brings up old negative feelings and reactions, is urging you do deal and heal, certain memories arising from repressed unresolved issues. These issues may hold feelings of anger, shame, rage, hurt, guilt, avoidance, hate, helplessness, grief and so on. Over time, if you avoid healing them, they sit deep within you, and resurface again in some form of experience, that brings-up the same old uncomfortable feelings. The emotions you experience, represent the ‘feelings' part of you, which are calling out to be healed, in the here and now. The experience encourages you to digest the meaning of the experience, and identify what you hide from yourself. Subconsciously, you will keep attracting the same experiences, until you are ready and willing to be true to yourself; to have different experiences and stop feeling victimized by life. Just think! You become what you think and feel about most of the time. You always move in the direction of your dominant thoughts. Everything in your external world is controlled and determined by what you are thinking in your inner world. Only you can decide what you think and feel about most of the time. By taking complete control of your conscious thoughts, you can construct the direction of your future. So, are you ready to de-construct your negative dominant thoughts and construct your greatest life, starting today? Here are some action steps you can implement immediately to help you manifest a great life. 1. Shift Your Negative-Dominant Thoughts Identify your negative dominant thoughts through activities of contemplation, journaling, or other self-awareness ritual. Shift the thoughts of lack to one of abundance. Train yourself to be an observer of your thoughts. Reframe any conflicting thoughts within to one that empowers you. 2. Exercise The Power Of Free-Will This life you live is ‘your' life. No one owns you, or your mind. Exercise your free will. Allow yourself to choose happiness and positivity. Give yourself permission to design your own life. Leverage on your thinking-feeling power to attract what you want into life.
The way you think about yourself, people and your relationships will be reflected back to you in the level of your self-love and the quality of your relationships. If you see yourself as positive, loved, respected, and successful on the inside, that is exactly how you will act on the outside. The way you behave on the outside will largely determine the results that you get. The results that you get will reinforce your self-concept, in either a positive or negative way, and will set you up to repeat the same behaviours in the next similar situation.
