People these days lead very busy lives and are feeling the effects of stress when work and lifestyle go out of balance and life becomes a juggling act. This often results in anxiety, fatigue and depression. Because of the constant demands, people are often not caring for themselves and often succumb to physical problems and disease.
Here on the windswept, limestone plains of the Australian Capital Territory, Jeanne Horton of Aromatic Treasures brings a breath of sweet scented air to Canberra and beyond.
Jeanne has spent many years educating and learning. She taught in primary schools as an executive teacher and also gained a Masters Degree in Gifted Education. She also developed a background in natural therapies as well as holding a Diploma in Aromatherapy. She is also recognised as a Reiki Master and a Teacher in the Aura-Soma Colour Care System. Jeanne has also worked with Dr John de Martini (featured in The Secret) and trained in a process that successfully helps people to see their way through issues they may be confronting.
In her healing sessions Jeanne does massage, relaxation, aromatherapy, colour therapy, Reiki, meditation, personal development and also works as a wellness consultant and distributor of nutritional supplements and non-toxic personal care products. She is also a firm advocate of Dr John Lee's Natural hormone replacement therapies. Using the healing energies of aroma, colour and Reiki - in massage and consultations - helps people to feel more balanced, rejuvenated and relaxed.
Jeanne has been working in health and wellbeing for over eight years now. As a mother and teacher of young children she strives to provide the best in holistic health and wellbeing for the family and her students, as well as for the community.
Jeanne has always had an abiding interest in holistic health and wellbeing. When her husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer she met someone who introduced her to Revenol, a very powerful antioxidant from Neways that could help him. As well as working full time and bringing up two teenagers, she was also going through the latter stages of menopause - the stress of worrying about Ron aggravated her condition and she was very pleased to be able to find some natural hormonal products that kept her on an even keel. Over the years Jeanne has learned the importance of maintaining good health rather than waiting until one gets ill. It was through Neways that she was introduced to the benefits of aromatherapy and essential oils .
Her motivation for wanting to go into business had a lot to do with the desire to help people to take control of their own health and wellbeing. It gives her a great deal of satisfaction to help someone become more relaxed, balanced and feeling positive about themselves. Her wish is to be able to continue with what she loves to do in helping people attain a good sense of health and wellbeing.
Jeanne is keen to develop the teaching side of her business, to help people take control of their own health and wellbeing and to be able to help others. Her health and wellbeing school, Aurora, is based in Canberra but she is also keen to travel to teach. |
